§ 218-1. Safety devices required.

    Every person owning land on which there is situated a swimming pool which contains twenty-four (24) inches or more of water in depth at any point shall erect and maintain thereon an adequate enclosure surrounding the property or pool area sufficient to make such body of water inaccessible to small children. Such enclosure shall satisfy the barrier requirements of the Connecticut State Building Code, as it may be amended from time to time.

    B.

    Every person owning land on which there is situated a swimming pool which contains twenty-four (24) inches or more of water in depth at any point shall install and maintain any and all pool alarms that may be required by the barrier requirements of the Connecticut State Building Code, as it may be amended from time to time.
