§ 25-6. Obstruction of operations; penalties.

  • A.

    It shall be unlawful for any person willfully or negligently to obstruct or retard any officer or member of a fire company or fire department in extinguishing or controlling a fire, and upon conviction such person shall be fined not more than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) or imprisoned not more than six (6) months, or both.

    B.

    It shall be unlawful for any person in the city to willfully obstruct any street in the city so as to render less effective the Fire Department in the performance of its duty in going to, coming from or attending any fires.
